Protective Security

Protective security aims to reduce the vulnerability of organisations to terrorism and other threats.

We have extensive experience of working with the Emergency Services Sector (Police/Fire/Ambulance and Coastguard). As they are all Critical National Infrastructure asset owners they must also comply with the requirement contained within both the UK Counter Terrorism strategy (CONTEST) and the Public Service Agreement (PSA) to reduce the vulnerability of the UK’s assets and infrastructure.

We also work with organisations in the UK and globally, in the public and private sector to offer guidance on protective security. To facilitate this strategy and its objectives work programmes and project plans must be developed to ensure Physical, Personnel and Information security assurance. Sector bespoke policies and guidance are developed and produced to ensure compliance and good practice. Annual assurance and review mechanisms are also need to be established.

Elements of our protective security advice include:

• Baseline Personnel Security standards
• National Security vetting guidance
• Personnel security risk assessments
• Protective marking guidance
• Physical protection risk assessments
• Vehicle, uniform and equipment secure disposal.
• Information assurance and accreditation
