International Operations

Hanover Associates have a growing presence in international markets. We are increasingly finding that our extensive expertise and wide-ranging experience of multi agency working are in demand all over the world.

The UK was the first country to recognise the benefit of multi agency response to rail accidents, fires, flooding and civil disturbances as well as conventional and CBRN terrorist incidents.

Our Directors and Associates helped develop the Gold, Silver and Bronze command and control structure and promote inter-agency communication and intelligence sharing in the UK. They also pioneered joint training initiatives between different agencies. The benefits of such multi agency working include:

• Immediate response to a major incident
• Each agency’s responsibilities are clear from the outset
• Individuals know their roles and partners
• Lines of communication are already in place
• Co-ordination is maximised, especially in the ‘golden hour’

Our recent projects have included command and control and hostage resolution training to the Malaysian Airforce, a seminar in Stockholm to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and in Cologne, a seminar for International trauma surgeons.

We are also partnering with other Associate companies to carry out consultancy and training in the Middle East, Africa and Central and South America.

Much of our work is of a confidential or sensitive nature so unfortunately we are not able to disclose details about a considerable number of our projects.
